Bioavailability is the amount of the drug in systemic circulation. It is measured by withdrawing the sample from the volunteer and then evaluating in the sophisticated tools. This involves the DCGI Approval and permission from the Ethic Committee. Two drug products are considered pharmaceutical equivalents if they contain identical amounts of the same active ingredient. These studies are conducted in small number of volunteers and are useful in comparing of the formulation with the existing one.
